Energy efficiency as a competitive advantage

Our approach comprises numerous energy-efficiency measures, some already in place and others still being planned. Energy savings make particular sense to us for several reasons: energy is a significant cost factor.
Energy efficiency
Through efficient energy use and modern technologies we can reduce our operating costs considerably. Not least, energy-saving measures and the use of renewable energy reduce dependence on volatile energy markets and fossil fuels. Energy efficiency is thus a significant competitive advantage – we offer our products at market prices even in times of rising energy costs.
And: the conscious use of energy reduces our company's CO₂ footprint and thus makes an important contribution to protecting the environment and combating climate change. We are convinced that a forward-looking supplier in the mobility sector in particular should actively contribute to energy saving and the use of renewable energy.
Photovoltaic system
The expansion of our photovoltaic system began in 2022 and was completed at the beginning of 2023. With a further 400 solar modules, a total generator area of 3,145 m² is now available, enabling an annual yield of almost 530,000 kWh. Assuming an average consumption of 3,000 kWh for a three-person household, this corresponds to approx. 176 households. We are particularly proud of the 248,747 kg of CO₂ saved per year – an impressive demonstration of our company's ecological orientation. Energy production can be followed in real time on a monitor in our entrance area and is also available on mobile devices.
Our modernised IT, improved ventilation in communal areas and new heating systems already feature optimised energy efficiency. New compressor units are more economical and their waste heat supports the building heating. Many of our new machines also offer extended energy consumption monitoring alongside increased productivity.
