Wuppertal
One site since 1935. In service worldwide.
What is engineered and built here runs in rail vehicles, buses and special vehicles in 25 countries - pane by pane, door by door.
Process
From enquiry to series production
Vehicle glazing is not a catalogue part. Every pane, every frame and every door is built for a specific vehicle, a specific installation situation and a specific specification. Engineering, production and testing are all on one site in Wuppertal.
- 01Enquiry and consultation
We clarify the installation situation, opening type, glazing build-up and the applicable standards before a drawing is made.
- 02Engineering
The window, door or partition is designed as a component of the vehicle – frame, sealing planes, fittings and add-on parts as one whole.
- 03Sampling
Prototype build and coordination on the real component. Changes happen here, not in series production.
- 04Testing and release
Testing in our own test centre. Bonding and welding processes are certified to DIN EN 17460 and DIN EN 15085-2 CL1.
- 05Series and spare parts
Series production and spare parts supply across the service life of the vehicle – including long-running fleets.
